In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, DSCO is having an
educational event. Come learn how to respond to disclosures of sexual assault
and abuse from our students and clients. DSCO will also host a panel of
counselors in the mental health, school, and college fields discussing examples
of disclosures by clients and students. We have the DePaul Sexual and
Relationship Violence Prevention Specialist, a counselor from an adult Sexual
Violence Support Services clinic, and hopefully a school counselor from the
Chicago area to speak to their experiences in their field.

Learn more about how to be an advocate for your profession with a trip down to Springfield to meet with your legislators and advocate for our clients and students. Any interested students need to e-mail DSCO at DSCO.DePaul@gmail.com to sign up. The last day to sign up is Friday, April 7. DSCO was awarded a grant for this event, so we are covering most of the travel costs for this event. We can only take 14 more students, so please e-mail us today!
