Relaxation Audio + Survey

I am a master’s student in Arizona State University’s clinical mental health counseling program, under the direction of Professor Lisa Spanierman.  I am conducting my master’s thesis to better understand the effects of mindfulness on counselor trainees’ social attitudes.

You have an opportunity to engage in self-care and help with research at the same time. I am recruiting individuals, 18 years or older, who are enrolled in a counseling or counseling psychology graduate training program.

If you choose to participate, you will listen to a 10-minute relaxation audio and answer survey questions. Possible benefits include a better understanding of yourself and a chance to relax for a few minutes during a hectic day. This study will take approximately 25-30 minutes, and upon completion you will be entered into a raffle to win one of the available gift cards:
·       four $50 Amazon gift cards
·       four $25 Amazon gift cards
The study received IRB approval at Arizona State University (STUDY00007361). Your participation is voluntary and you may discontinue participation at any time.  Your responses are anonymous and will only be reported in aggregate form. If you have any questions concerning the research study, please contact me at smith21bs@gmail.com.

It is important that you complete the study in one sitting and have access to headphones or speakers for the audio portion.
