The Office of Student Employment is looking to hire a student employee to fill the Student Employment Hiring Assistant position.  The Student Employment Hiring Assistant will be responsible for managing the hiring paperwork and processes for the Office of Student Employment (OSE) in Lincoln Park.  This student serves as the primary contact in communicating office procedures related to hiring paperwork to DePaul staff and students. They are also in regular contact with Human Resources and Payroll ensuring the paperwork process is running smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.  Students with interests in HR, counseling, or higher education are encouraged to apply.

The position hour requirement consists of approximately 20-25 hours per week. Must be able to work 4-5 days a week between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and work at least 3 hour blocks at a time.  This position also requires commuting to the HR Department located in the Loop Campus to deliver paperwork on a daily basis.

College Counseling Internship 
Attn: Rising 2nd Year School Counseling Students

The College Counseling Department at British International School of Chicago - South Loop is looking for a graduate school counseling student with a passion for college counseling, the IB curriculum, and/or international post-secondary education. We are looking for someone very interested in learning about the college admissions process and different universities. The internship would also require basic communication support. There would be no direct one-to-one student contact hours, but there could be some direct group contact hours in classrooms and workshops. We are very flexible and willing to work with the intern to create a sustainable set schedule. However, this is an unpaid internship.

Requirements:
  • Must have successfully completed first year of graduate school counseling program
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be reliable
  • Basic graphic design skills a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Providing support for college counseling programming (classroom lessons, presentations, informational sessions, etc.)
  • Receiving and meeting with college admissions representatives
  • Helping generate college counseling department's weekly newsletter
  • Managing digital college counseling board

Staff Counselor Job Posting

Middlebury College (a small, private, liberal arts college in Vermont) is recruiting a staff counselor to provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health outreach services to enhance the psychological and emotional welfare of students and the College community.

Applicants with demonstrated skills and experience in multicultural counseling are encouraged to apply, especially experience working with historically underrepresented students (e.g., students with disabilities, students of color, queer, transgender, first-generation, low-income, international, immigrant, undocumented, tribal and indigenous communities) and with the ability to provide culturally competent and inclusive support services.

The position requirements include: 1) M.A., M.S., M.S.W., Ed.D, or Ph.D. in a clinical field and formal training in clinical assessment and counseling, 2) 2-5 years of clinical experience, which can include practicum and internship work, and 3) a current, active Vermont license in a clinical field or equivalent transferable license in another state (or demonstrated progress towards licensure).
