  • Therapist I
Responsible for providing direct client treatment and case management for a selected group of clients. Provides and participates in program treatment modalities including individual, group, and didactic sessions. Conducts assessments on clients and families and participates in their treatment and discharge planning.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science related field or Registered Nurse with current Illinois license, Masters degree is preferred. CPR Card, CADC preferred, previous experience in mental health is preferred. 
  • Mental Health Counselor
Responsible for providing direct patient care to assigned patients on the Behavioral Health Units. Conducts admission assessment interviews with patients, family members, attending physicians and treatment team. Provides, as directed, for the physical needs of patients and assists each designated patient with his/her activities of daily living.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work or Bachelor’s degree in another field with a minimum of two years related work experience, CPR Card, previous experience in mental health is preferred. 
  • Assessment Specialist II
    Conducts Clinical Assessments at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, St. Alexius Medical Center and Alexian Brothers Medical Center Emergency Rooms. Following assessment, the Assessment Specialist consults with physicians, makes appropriate treatment recommendations to patient or parent, and coordinates admission procedures into the appropriate level of care.

    Requirements: Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work, LCSW or LCPC, CPR Card, minimum of three years experience in mental health and/or addictions.

The Graduate Assistant (GA) in Athletic Academic Advising advises student-athletes regarding curriculum choices and academic requirements, as well as Big East, NCAA and university academic regulations and explores students' interests, strengths and weaknesses and guides them from initial enrollment to graduation. This is a 12-month position for a full-time, graduate student.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Academically advise student-athletes regarding curriculum choices and requirements, as well as Big East, NCAA and university academic regulations, explore students' interests, strengths and weaknesses and guide them from initial enrollment to graduation.

2. Provide academic support and monitoring to assigned teams and communicate with coaches, staff and atheltics administration which includes processing midterm progress reports for assigned student-athletes as well as mangers and student workers.

3. Coordinate the quarterly travel letter process including collecting and verifying travel information with coaches as well as missed class time reporting.

4. Provide tutoring to student-athletes.

5. Research and write bi-annual newsletter highlighting the academic achievements of student-athletes.

6. Assist with NCAA, Conference, university and external reports and award nominations.

7. Oversee the department’s website and remain current on necessary technology.

8. Oversee student-athletes during required study table hours and enforce office policies.

9. Describe services offered by Athletic Academic Advising to visiting recruits and their families.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


1. Provide support for all co-curricular engagement and community development initiatives (DePaul Educational Theatre Company, celebration breakfasts, Chicago DiverCity program, etc.), which may include but not be limited to the following: staffing events, training and curriculum development, making logistical reservations and arrangements for events, contacting and working with other departments and collaborators, and performing independent research.

 Through the area of Academic and Post-College Success in the Office of Multicultural Student Success (OMSS), the Graduate Assistant will work on developing programs, outreach initiatives and academic and post-college interventions that contribute toward the retention and graduation of first-generation, low-income and students of color at DePaul University. More directly, this position runs the Providing Access Through Holistic Support (PATHS) career discernment program. In addition, this coordinator provides mentorship, advising, and career coaching directly to students engaged in OMSS initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. (25%) Implements and assesses the PATHS program which serves over 200 student participants who identify as low-income students, first generation students and/or students of color

2. (20%) Maintain strong communication with PATHS participants through effective outreach methods including writing an e-newsletter using a Customer Relations Management system.

This graduate assistant works primarily with the university’s Welcome Week initiatives and with Parent and Family Programs in meeting the goals of the office.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and implement the Welcome Week program:

a. Collaborate with university departments and organizations to create a vibrant calendar of events to meet the needs of a diverse student body, including the coordination of the Welcome Week committee.

b. Provide direction to the planning of the signature events coordinated by NSFE.

c. Develop and implement a budget for Welcome Week signature programs.

d. With the Assistant Director, share in the supervision of the Welcome Week student coordinator.

Reporting to a Residence Director, the Graduate Assistant (Assistant Residence Director) is a part-time staff member responsible for the co-administration of a residential area, including, but not limited to, staff supervision, student learning opportunities, conduct, student issue response and community building. The Assistant Residence Director is a live-in position that is designed to prepare individuals for a full-time position in student affairs, specifically housing and residence life. This is a 12-month position for a full-time, graduate student.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 
1. (30%) Co-coordinates and oversees various aspects of hall management, which may include staff training and co-supervision, student issue response, student conduct and student learning opportunities.

2. (15%) Addresses student and parent issues in order to resolve them in a satisfactory manner and counsels resident advisors on issues that arise from demands of their jobs.

3. (10%) Assists with selection, training, development and evaluation of student staff.

4. (10%) Participates in all appropriate departmental, divisional and university meetings and training programs.

5. (10%) Cultivates relationships with various university departments, specifically Dean of Students Office and Student Affairs, but also including Housing Services and Facility Operations. May involve collateral positions with other university departments.

6. (5%) Makes decisions related to student welfare, student discipline and frequently works without direct supervision. Decisions referred to supervisor include performance management, student welfare and student discipline.

Peer Health Education Program Graduate Intern Needed

General Summary:
The Peer Health Education Program is designed to provide health education on a variety of topics to the DePaul student body with the goal of enhancing long term healthy behaviors. The topics may include stress management, sexual and relationship violence prevention, alcohol and drug prevention, bystander intervention, sexual health, healthy relationships, mental health and nutrition. Ideally, students will reach their fullest potential both personally and academically during their time at DePaul.   Through the Peer Health Education Program, the Graduate Intern will assist in recruiting and training the peer health educators, as well as marketing and implementing the curriculum. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, and must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree at DePaul University. Finally, the Graduate Intern must both understand and fulfill the mission of the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness as a role model.  Some weekend and evening hours are also required. Office space in the Lincoln Park Student Center will be provided.

·         Assist in the selection of the Peer Health Educators
·         Assist in the development of the training for the Peer Health Educators
·         Supervise 8-12  undergraduate Peer Health Educators
·         Assist in developing content for the curriculum
·         Coordinate the presentation schedule and assign educators to present
·         Assist in marketing of Peer Health Educator Program to generate interest in program campus-wide
·        Facilitate curriculum as needed
·         Facilitate weekly meetings with Peer Health Educators
·         Attend weekly supervision with HPW staff member
·         Develop and maintain content for website
·         Evaluate effectiveness of program
·         Develop authentic, engaged relationships with the educators so that the GI can serve as a resource in times of concern
·         Contact and book presenters to conduct professional development workshops as needed for educators throughout the academic year
·         Maintain and update necessary database information with current data
Education and Experience:
·         Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university.
·         Knowledge of DePaul University’s prevention and support resources on campus

·         Proven commitment to health and wellness initiatives and education.
·         Professional and creative presentation skills
·         Excellent written communication skills.
·         Well-developed managerial and organizational skills.
·         Must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree at DePaul University.
·         Proficiency in SPSS (preferred)
·         Some management experience (preferred)

Hours/Schedule:
·         The Peer Educator Program Graduate Intern position is intended to be a yearlong appointment – 48 weeks/year
·          Required hours per week: 20 - 25hrs 

Mandatory Dates:
·         Involvement Fairs
·         April 10-11, 2015  training

Compensation:
·         $12.50/hour
