Research Assistant Position

Good afternoon, COE!

Faculty in the College of Science and Health (CSH) are in need of a research assistant interested in educational outreach at the high school level. They are working with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to add a service learning component to the science curriculum focused on environmental health and specifically in identifying and controlling lead exposure.

They are looking for a student to develop and implement the curriculum under the guidance of CSH faculty and within the standards of the CPS curriculum.

They are also interested in using principles of student led inquiry, social justice centered pedagogy, and culturally relevant curriculum to empower students and ultimately address the root causes of the environmental health disparities.
