Queering Virtual Spaces: LGBTQ+ Youth Engagement in a Time of Remote Learning

Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, young people and adults supporting young people everywhere have had to reshape and adjust education and programming spaces to fit into the virtual world. How are we ensuring these virtual spaces are affirming and inclusive of LGBTQ+ youth?

Please join Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, a program of PHIMC, and Pride Action Tank on December 8 at 5pm for this timely panel discussion on protecting, educating, and empowering LGBTQ+ young people in a virtual environment.

This panel is co-hosted by Pride Action Tank and Illinois Safe Schools Alliance.

Pride Action Tank, a project of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, is a think tank focused on action that leads to improved outcomes and opportunities for LGBTQ+ communities in the Chicago region through a collaborative process of inquiry, advocacy and action.

Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, now a program of Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago, promotes safety, support, and healthy development for LGBTQ+ youth, in Illinois schools and communities, through advocacy, education, youth organizing, and research.

NCMHCE/LCPC Test Preparation

Presenter: Dr. Francesca Giordano

12 CEs

Time: 9 AM - 4 PM Each Day

Location: ONLINE LIVE

Our two-day training incorporates Dr. Giordano's live instruction with her strategy called Linking Logic. It is a strategy for answering the kind of simulation questions the NCMHCE licensing exam uses. Linking Logic lets you show what you know on the exam, by giving you a clear and effective step-by-step method that maximizes positive point items and minimizes the negative ones. If you know the material and learn to use Dr. Giordano’s Linking Logic strategy effectively, no matter how tough or complicated the simulation might be, you will be able to choose the positive point items every time.
