Where: Alcott College Prep High School

Description: Looking for someone to improve student attendance and school-wide attendance practices. The job will be to run attendance reports, send absence letters home, call parents, work with teachers to improve their attendance reporting, come up with incentives for perfect attendance and improved attendance, and overall increasing daily attendance.

Hours: Mornings, from 7:30 to 12:00 (hours are flexible), Monday-Friday

Pay: $15.00/hr

Mentoring Opportunity at Walter Payton College Prep

Waltern Payton College Prep is looking to start a mentoring program consisting of 3-10 long-term mentors. These volunteers will engage deeply and consistently with high school students who struggle with a combination of academic and nonacademic factors. The kind of interventions they need are not high-tech, but require a degree of frequency and consistency that is hard for regular teachers to provide in the school day.

Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator - Student Services Division - Full-time, 10 Months

Description:

The Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator works to maintain and enhance an existing comprehensive Student Assistance Program to meet the ongoing needs of current and future Stevenson High School students in the following areas:

1.  Prevention, with a focus on school, peers, family, and the community; and

2.  Intervention, with a focus on the implementation of policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Type 73 certification (or equivalent license) desirable; CADC certification required.  A minimum of three years successful counseling, social work or other relevant experience preferred; three years of grant writing experience preferred; three years of coordination and implementation of school-wide prevention programs preferred.
