Development Associate Opening

The Development Associate will directly report to the Development Director. This position is a high functioning administrative role. Strong skill sets in organization, writing, communications, being detail- oriented are critical for the success of this role. DONOR STEWARDSHIP, DONOR CULTIVATION AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT

● Meticulously process gifts and gift tax receipts on a daily basis
● Diligently create thank you correspondence for all donations
● Manage and track annual fund campaigns
● Create donor reports and updates to the database
● Manage and track donor communication in donor software system
● Keep all donor records up-to-date with recent actions, appeals, and donations
● Assist with donor communications, thank you correspondences, and special gifts
● Write letters and e-communications as needed

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS:
● Assist with creating and sending email communications via Constant Contact under the direction of the Development Director
● Assist with social media and enhance engagement through social media
● Occasionally draft flyers and visuals for events, annual fund, reports, emails etc.
● Other tasks as assigned by the Development Director

EVENTS:
● Assist the Development Director with all fundraising and donor stewardship events
● Execute logistics for events including but not limited to nametags, flyers, email communications, website updates, sponsor and donor follow-up and stewardship.
● Enter participant data after the event
● Provide tax receipt for event participants
● Other tasks as assigned by the Development Director

STUDENT AMBASSADORS/CLUBS/OTHER
● Lead student ambassadors club
● Participate in San Miguel community events
● Attend All Staff meetings
● Greet students in the morning

SKILLS DESIRED:
● Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication
● Energetic team player with positive attitude
● Strong competency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
● Excellent time management

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s Degree required
COMPENSATION
● The starting compensation package will include a salary commensurate with experience
