Clinician - Intensive Placement Stabilization/Maintaining Adoption Connections

JCFS is looking to hire a Clinician for our Intensive Placement Stabilization/Maintaining Adoption Connections (IPS/MAC) program within the Child Welfare Department who renders direct clinical services to clients within agency policies and programs.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field from an accredited college or university
• Flexible scheduling necessary; requires evening hours and weekends on occasion
• As this position requires site visits and client transportation to locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation, must be able to drive, have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle to travel in the Cook County/Chicago metropolitan area
Preferred:
• Willingness to work towards obtaining clinical licensure: LCSW, LMFT or LCPC
• Experience working with children and knowledge of child welfare and trauma
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings as needed. Attend court, ACRs, school staffing’s and other meetings that may impact the well-being of the client and their family
• Advocates for clients’ best interest in school settings, at juvenile court and in any other systems that interface with the client and their family. Link the client and their families with community resources that will help meet the treatment goals
• Verbally presents cases to co-workers according to the clinical case review schedule
• Obtains and maintains certification to administer the CANS and the FAST assessment tools
• Participates in agency staff development programs, professional group seminars, committees or conferences to increase professional knowledge
• Collaborates with other agency personnel, supervisor, appropriate specialists or consultants on specific case related problems and participates in weekly supervision
• Develops and implements skills in providing appropriate services with increasing responsibility for the appraisal of the effectiveness of own work through self-reflection and completion of all outcome measures, documentation, and treatment plans

Case Manager Supervisor-Child Welfare

Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field, from an accredited college
• Must possess licensure of LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a DCFS Child Welfare license with proper trainings
• 3 or more years of progressive management experience in Child Welfare
• Demonstrated strong management skills

Clinician-Child Welfare

JCFS is looking for a Clinician. The purpose of this position is to provide child welfare services for clients within client care partnerships in accordance with agency policies and programs, under the direction of supervisor and/or other specified administrator.

Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related human service field from an accredited institution which must be verified via official certified transcripts
• Must have at least 1 year of work experience in Child Welfare or with DCFS programs/Agencies
• Either licensed or working towards obtaining clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC)
• Under Medicaid Rule 132, position is designated as a Qualified Mental Health Professional

Intake Specialist/Clinician-Foster Care

JCFS is looking to hire an Intake Specialist. The purpose of this position is to serve as the core element responsible for moving new and existing clients from DCFS/Community-based referral through the initial foster care placement processes.

Requirements:
• Master’s in Social Work or related Human Services field from an accredited college,
• Must have at least 1 year of work experience in Child Welfare or DCFS Agencies or programs
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a DCFS Child Welfare license with proper trainings
• Must possess completion of required testing by DCFS on Rule 402 and the Child Care Act
• Must be able to be on-call Monday through Friday 9am – 4:30pm for any intake emergencies

• Travel to prospective foster parent residence to conduct thorough home study using parameters defined by Director of Foster Care

• Demonstrates the ability to articulate information gained from the assessment process both verbally and in writing

Emergency Foster Care Therapeutic Clinician

JCFS is looking to hire an Emergency Forster Care Therapeutic Clinician (EFC). The EFC Therapeutic Clinician will support the Intensive Placement Services’ Mobile Response program which provides intense, focused in-home and/or community-based therapeutic assistance to trauma-impacted youth and adolescents who have been placed in emergency foster care. Also, this position provides psychoeducation and support to emergency foster parents for their current and future use in managing emergency foster care placements.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or related Human Services field from an accredited college or university
• Flexible scheduling necessary; requires evening hours based on client and program needs
