The Editors of
the CONTACT newsletter are seeking articles for the Summer issue of
2018, published in early August. We need articles of general interest to the
counseling profession that are informative or provide insight into the
counseling field.
Submission
deadline is May 30, 2018.
There
are few things more satisfying than seeing something you have written in print.
CONTACT uses 3 to 5 reader submitted articles per issue depending on space.
Please
read the publication rules below before submitting.
If you
have submitted in the past and your article was not published, please feel free
to resubmit.
After
you submit, please be patient as our review process can take a while. If your
article is not used in the current edition, it may be that we did not have
space. If you want it considered for the next issue, please let us know.
Here are the submission rules:
1. All articles are to be typed in Times New Roman 12pt
font. Put the title of the article and your name at the top of page 1.
2. Submit as a
Microsoft word attachment via email to icacontacteditor@gmail.com
If you don’t use Microsoft word, send it as an rtf (rich
text format). Most word processors handle this format. Do not submit
copy inline in email. Include your phone number in the submission
email.
3. If you make
changes, resubmit the full manuscript, not just the changes.
4. Include photo(s)
and short biography (about 35-40 words) about the author(s).
5. Articles should be
no more than 1000 words in length, not including title and bio.
6. By submitting your
article you are agreeing to have it edited by the Contact/Magazine editors.
This can include changes to length, content, grammar, punctuation, etc.
