POSITION
OPENING – full time
YOUTH
& FAMILY COUNSELOR
GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide
individual, family, and group therapy on an outpatient basis to a diverse
population. This therapist will also be
equally involved in providing groups in schools and after-school youth
programming in the community. This therapist
will provide case management to their clients as needed as well as meet all
paperwork requirements. In addition to
direct service, this therapist will be involved with community networking,
program marketing and publicity, and program administrative tasks. This worker will be responsible for WAYS’
Summer Day Camp. The workweek is Monday
through Friday, including 2 days working 1-9pm (down to 1 evening per week
during 12 weeks of summer camp).
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Master’s
Degree in Social Work or similar Masters.
Licensure or license-eligible is desired.
SUPERVISION:
This
position will be supervised by the Executive Director, a Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselor.
TRAINING:
WAYS offers clinical supervision and
monthly in-service training. All WAYS
staff are encouraged and supported as much as possible toward continuing
education and additional credentials.
SALARY:
Salary level for this position is at
the entry level.

all aspects of program coordination – development, implementation, evaluation,
and publicity. This worker will also
provide individual, family, and group therapy on an outpatient basis to a
diverse population. In addition to
direct service, this worker will be involved with community networking and
program development. This worker will be
responsible for WAYS’ Summer Day Camp and will be giving direct supervision to
Master’s level, licensed staff and Master’s level interns. The workweek is Monday through Friday,
including 2 days working 1-9pm (down to 1 evening per week during 12 weeks of
summer camp).
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Master’s
Degree in Social Work or related field and preferably at least 3 years of
experience providing direct service.
LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent licensure is required for this position in
order to supervise Master’s level interns and Master’s level staff with
licensure.
