Wellness Support

Dear Counseling Students,

We are living through an unprecedented time in history. From a global Pandemic, racial injustice, and a politically charged election, it is understandable if you are feeling stressed and anxious about the future.

As counselors and counselors in training, it is likely others are turning to you for support. But we cannot pour from an empty cup. We urge you to prioritize your own wellness during this challenging time. We want to remind you that the counseling faculty is here for you. We encourage you to reach out to us if you need support.

In closing, we invite you to listen to Dr. Maya Angelou reciting her poem And Still I Rise, which is a powerful reminder about maintaining a resilient spirit in the midst of adversity.

Take care and be well.
