Key Areas of Responsibility: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides individual, family and group therapy, as well as case management, advocacy and referral/linkage to all clients.
- Provides assessment, treatment planning, advocacy, crisis intervention, and referral/linkage services.
- Provides group counseling services using prescribed group curricula (i.e. Aggression Replacement Therapy, CBITS, and Girl’s Circle/Boy’s Council) when applicable.
- Provides time limited individual counseling with emphasis on skill building and problem resolution.
- Provides classroom workshops, teacher/parent/community trainings.
- Coordinates clinical and case management services with school staff, teachers and parents.
- Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to master’s level student interns.
- Conduct intern evaluations and maintain related university relationships.
- Manages all agency expectations for case recording, statistical, and other documentation on a timely basis.
- Understanding and commitment to the mission, goals and philosophy of the Agency.
- Assist in the reporting of program updates and evaluations.
- Build and sustain relationships with school staff, program and community stakeholders.
- Effectively manage time, travel, intern supervision, and programmatic responsibilities across multiple school sites on a weekly basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop professional partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to engage complex and high risk clients, respond to frequent crises, and engage parents.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities, maintain accurate records and prepare reports in a timely fashion.
- Understanding and commitment to the mission, goals and philosophy of the Agency.
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling, or related field.
- Clinical Licensure in either Social Work, Counseling or related field.
- At least three years post Master’s Degree experience working with children and adolescents.
- Prior experience working with children and families in a school and community setting.
- Display of strong knowledge base in case conceptualization, diagnosis and treatment.
