YWLCS’s is the only all-girls public school in Chicago, enrolling nearly 350 urban girls grade 7-12 and preparing them with the tools to graduate high school, continue through post-secondary education, and go on to lead fulfilling and productive lives.
The volunteer will provide support to the College Prep Department, Outreach and Operations. Typical duties include working with students on college applications, enrichment programs; updating College Prep website, maintain students’ Naviance profile; entering or compiling survey data; assisting with assessments; and communicating with colleges. Other duties could involve use of Microsoft Excel and Word for creating mailings and reports.
Deadline for application: August 15th
Commitment: One day a week through Fall Quarter (9am-3pm), possibly extending through the academic year
