SUMMARY:
Deerfield High School has a job opening for a College & Career Resource Center (CCRC) Specialist to work alongside the College Counselors in the College & Career Resource Center.  This position is perfect for someone interested in going back to school to attain school counseling certification.  It is an hourly, ten-month position that spans the traditional school day so it affords the person the opportunity to take evening and summer classes while maintaining full-time employment. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The CCRC Specialist will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to overseeing the Resource Center, assisting students with applications/essays, maintaining Naviance (database) as well as Parchment (transcript program) and managing about 20 local scholarships.  Excellent communication, technological, and organizational skills and a genuine desire to work with students are required.

  • Possess common sense, problem-solving skills and reasoning ability to appropriately deal with supervisory situations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 30 hours of college credit required. Some experience with counseling or college admissions preferred.
