DePaul-area After-School
Sitter with ADHD, ASD or ABA Experience - $18/hour
I have an 9 year
old son with ADHD/Aspergers and am looking for a someone to pick him
up at Mayer Elementary (Clifton/Belden) at 3:30 pm Monday - Friday, bring him
home a few blocks away, make sure he does homework and stay until
we get home between 6 and 6:30 pm. He's high-functioning, gifted academically,
loves playing guitar, piano, video games and sports, and is generally charming,
but has some challenges (e.g. rigidity, difficulty coping with frustration
and transitions, occasional meltdowns, etc.) He attended Camp Star this summer and
did very well in an ABA-based program, so ABA experience or previous work with
children with ADHD/Aspergers preferred.
While we live
walking distance from DePaul/Mayer Elementary, a car is preferred due to
weather and/or taking him to a weekly psych appointment. We're
looking for someone available from Mon-Thurs or Mon-Fri from 3:30-6:30
