Dear DePaul Counseling Students,
The fight for racial equality has always been an ongoing issue in
our country, and this year we have seen multiple injustices firsthand.
Witnessing the brutality of these injustices has impacted us all in many ways,
but with little opportunity to process.
As fellow counselors in training and upcoming leaders in our communities, it is important for us to take the lead by taking a stand against racial injustices and offer support to our fellow BIPOC colleagues and clients. In order to dismantle injustice, increasing our knowledge on issues, speaking out against oppression, challenging ourselves, and having important conversations are great steps in the right direction.
The Delta Pi Upsilon Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota would like to
invite you to participate in ‘A Brave Space for Race’. This facilitated
discussion will provide an opportunity to lean on each other through these
trying times so that we can become better advocates for our clients of color.
All students and alumni are welcome to attend.
This event will take place via zoom on Tuesday, December 15th
from 5:30pm - 6:30pm
