JOB TITLE: Job Shadow (JSP) Program Assistant
Compensation: $13.25

General Summary: Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Sharing Knowledge in the Career Center, the Job Shadow Program Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Career Center Job Shadow Program (JSP). This position will enhance the visibility and quality of the |
JSP.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: JSP Program Management (40%) |

Manage new student application, registration, orientation, and communication.

Maintain timely correspondence with students to ensure accurate and complete profiles and applications.

Coordinate student follow up and correspondences as appropriate, including during and after the Job
Shadow experience.

Work with Associate Director in tracking and attracting new students for the Job Shadow Program.

Diligently track program activity and accomplishments.

Assist in the development of the student acceptance process.

Oversee logistical and operational functions of the Job Shadow Program.

Maintain timely correspondence with students regarding invitation to program, confirmation, and post-
program follow-up.

Ensure timely and accurate written and verbal communication with internal customers (DePaul staff,
students, and faculty) and external customers (current employers and alumni).
JSP Marketing and Promotion (30%)

Create and implement marketing and outreach strategies to increase program recognition and utilization.

Create and purchase promotional materials to advertise program.

Engage the public through our social media platforms.

Partner with student organizations and University departments to promote program.

Professionally represent ASK and the Job Shadow Program at orientations, open houses, Career Center
events, and other alumni or university functions.

Respond to questions, requests and feedback regarding Job Shadow services.
Support and Assist with ASK Program (30%)

Assist with the ASK Oasis: registration table, set up, breakdown and student and alumni engagement at Job
Fairs.

Assist with management of volunteer communication.

Assist with promoting and advertising program events and services.

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook and social media platforms

Hours/Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week year-round, w/ limited hours during the summer and winter
break. Work schedule is flexible but must be between 9am - 5pm, Monday thru Friday time frame. Some evenings
and weekends might be needed based on events.
