CAMP – A FASD Community is looking for bright and driven individuals to join our summer program staff in June 2020! Our mission is to provide children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) a positive and safe environment in which to build skills that will assist them in everyday life. Currently we do this through our signature program, a week-long summer camp at YMCA Camp Duncan. This summer will be our 5th year and we will be introducing an added program for campers that have aged out and are looking to still be involved in a leadership capacity!
Below you’ll find general job descriptions for the two roles we’ll be hiring for starting in January. Please submit your interest with this form and we will email you full details. This organization was co-founded by a DePaul alum and continues to be supported by other Blue Demons, so we’d love for you to join our family! Any questions can be directed to admin@fasdcamp.org and a member of our team will get back to you ASAP.
Behavioral Health Team
In conjunction with our Assistant Director of Behavior, our behavioral health team (BHT) works to provide support for our campers and assistance to their counselors for all behavior needs. This can range anywhere between sudden outburst to encouragement to complete a new activity and embrace the week-long experience our summer camp has to offer.
Our program will take place June 20 -26 2020 at YMCA Camp Duncan. Candidates for this position must hold BCBA, LPC, LPSC, LSW, LCSW or another applicable licensure.
Group Counselor
In conjunction with our Assistant Director of Operations, our group counselors will lead campers throughout their week with us. Following a schedule of activities such as swimming, craft time, rock climbing and more, our counselors are responsible for creating experiences with our campers that will be life-changing.
Our program will take place June 20 -26 2020 at YMCA Camp Duncan. Candidates for this position must be at least 19 years of age and career interest in psychology, counseling, social work, health sciences, or other similar fields is preferred.
