Attention all CSL students:
"Lift as you Climb" is accepting applications.
This is an excellent opportunity to get involved and gain experience in working with youth in our community.
Lift helps educators develop as allies and advocates working with communities to address pressing educational issues. In 2018, Lift groups promoted pK-8 literacy development, support for first-generation college students, and youth mentoring and community building. In 2019, we focused our work in one community--Back of the Yards--partnering with Peace and Education Coalition Alternative High School to promote neighborhood peace and positive youth-police relations and with Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation to support young mothers and their children--including hosting a retreat for moms and kids here at DePaul. This year will build on last year's work. Our community partners are excited to have DePaul "lifters" back.
Applications for "Lift as you Climb" can be found here, via a "clickable" link in the attached flyer, and via the URL below. Applications (very brief) are due Monday 10/28.
