Dear Students,
Welcome to the Winter Quarter! I hope the quarter is off to a good start for
you.
As you know, the Counseling Program has been in the
application process for accreditation to CACREP. Thus far, this process is going very well.
CACREP requires curriculum, personnel and administrative elements to be in
place to assure the highest standards of education and training of our
students. One of the CACREP
administrative requirements is having an Academic Unit Leader for the
program. I am now serving as the
Academic Unit Leader. Consequently, I
will no longer serve as the Academic Advisor for the Clinical Mental Health
Specialty Area. As of January 25, 2018,
Dr. Darrick Tovar-Murray will be the Academic Advisor for Clinical Mental
Health. I want to thank Dr. Tovar-Murray
for his willingness to take on this service.
Please begin directing your academic needs and questions to Dr.
Tovar-Murray.
If you have questions, needs or concerns about the general
program, please feel free to contact me.
The role of Academic Unit Leader is to serve the faculty and students
and the overall well-being of the program.
I look forward in our working together.
Sincerely,
Fr. Pat McDevitt, C.M.
Academic Unit Leader
