Here are some of the specifics of
the Learning Coach/Mentor position:
-Delivering/developing mini study
sessions and/or independent learning activities for students with a focus on
executive functioning issues
-Assistance in the creation of
student portfolios
-Ability to conduct group study
sessions
-Experience working with students
with learning disabilities, executive functioning issues
-Some experience with STEM and
Humanities courses (English, Social Sciences, Language Arts)
-Possible evaluation/grading of
student coursework
-Ability to utilize rubric to assist
student in meeting course objectives
-Reporting student information via
technology based program
-Conducting observations of students
as they participate in experiential learning activities
The scheduling and days the learning
coach/mentor would be needed (possibly 10-16 hours a week, 4 days a week, is
from 2:00-6:00).
